Chapter3

        Macbeth

Inside  Macbeth’ castle.  Exit Macbeth towards Duncan’s bedroom.  Then Lady Macbeth enter, a cup of wine in her hand.  She smiles.  She say the deed’s not done.  But the attempt betrays us!  I left the daggers near.  He must have seen them.  If the King had not looked like my father as he slept, I would have murdered him myself.

He has murdered sleep.  That sweet sleep that calm our troubled thoughts.  Sleep that bring rest to tired minds and bodies and still that voice cried, he shall sleep no more.

Lady Macbeth, She say week minded coward!  Give me the daggers.  Asleep or dead?  Children are afraid of death, not soldiers.  I’ll cover those two men with Duncan’s blood.  Exit Lady Macbeth.  There is loud knocking at the castle gate.

Macbeth, He say, who’s knocking at the gateMy hands are red.  I dare not look at them.  Will this blood from my hands?  Lady Macbeth : look, now my hands are red, like yours.  But I’m not white with fear, like you.  You courage left you for time.  Put on your night gown.  We were both in bed.  Come on, the deed is done.  Macbeth still cannot believe what I have done.  I dare not think about it.  More knocking.  Oh, wake Dancan up… how I wish you could!
